Attending Central MinEx 2026 remains a key highlight for the New Found Gold team, and we were proud to serve as a Patron Sponsor of this important gathering.
A big thank you to the Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce for hosting another successful event, which brought together more than 100 exhibitors.👏
The event kicked off with Student Discovery Day, where we had the opportunity to connect with students from across the province. Our VP, Communications and Corporate Development, Fiona Childe delivered a presentation on our Queensway Gold Project, while our VP, Sustainability, Jared Sauders, moderated a panel on community leadership in mining development. Our geologist & Project Coordinator, Alexandra Squires co-chaired the technical sessions, and our Newfoundland team, including Kendra Revoy, Michelle Parsons, Hilary Keats, Mike Regular, Travis Winter, and Kiley Billard was present at the booth throughout the conference, representing our company and connecting with attendees.
Central MinEx also continues to be a valuable platform for networking, allowing our team to engage with suppliers, peers, local leaders, elected officials, and community members seeking to exchange ideas and strengthen relationships.
A highlight of the program was the Gala Luncheon, featuring keynote speaker David Harquail, 2026 Canadian Mining Hall of Fame inductee, who shared insights from decades of leadership experience in the mining sector.💫
We look forward to returning next year!

Do you know there are 2 producing gold mines employing upwards 1, 000 workers between them at Valentine Lake near Millertown and Hammerdown near King’s Point. Looks like another producing mine soon near Glenwood. Awesome @MiningNL@mining@miningtweets@miningnews@MunicipalNL
I must have missed this .... Rod Stewart plays a clip he found on the Internet
They turned "I will survive" into a tariff song in Toronto 🇨🇦. Damn rights Canada will survive! 💪🏼💪🏼
