@euboid MCP-to-CLI is genuinely underrated, the protocol adds overhead that rarely justifies itself.

The more I use tools like Codex and Openclaw, the more I hate MCPs. Instead I 1. ask Codex to convert the MCP to a CLI 2. create a skill 3. commit it to git 4. store creds in infisical/1password And suddenly, I can share the new skill with my team and use it across envs.

@DavidOndrej1 Rewriting the whole file to patch one line is a known quirk, not sure why they haven't fixed it.

Hermes Agent has a habit of wiping the entire contents of files, even for the smallest of edits no other agent has this issue

@amitgwde OpenClaw works amazingly great with OpenAI models. And I took some of the tricks I learned from codex to make all models better!

All I want is codex automatically entering /review mode after it's done and just looping until it stops finding booboos. (Yah I'm gonna build that)

why anyone would use openclaw as an executive assistant when codex already exists
