The Slack skill lets your OpenClaw act inside Slack from Clawdbot.
It covers reactions, pins, sending, editing, and deleting messages, and fetching member info, all through the bot token you have already configured.
Use it when you want the agent to react to a thread, post a daily update to a channel, or clean up its own messages after a fix.

@MartinGTobias Cost is the real blocker for most people, Hermes is worth trying if you are already paying for the model anyway
English

The Blogwatcher skill is a quiet RSS reader for your OpenClaw.
Add a blog or feed, run a scan when you want, and it tracks which articles are new and which you have already seen.
Good for a once-a-day digest of the handful of writers you actually read, without yet another inbox to manage.

The Mcporter skill lets your OpenClaw talk to MCP servers from the command line.
It lists servers, reads their tool schemas, and calls tools directly over HTTP or stdio, including ad-hoc servers you spin up on the spot.
Useful for poking at a new MCP integration before wiring it into the agent properly.

@nateliason @openclaw An AI confidently misidentifying its own competition is a new kind of problem.
English

Some crazy gaslighting here by Claude (probably not intentional?)
“What he’s calling @openclaw is slang for Claude Code”
Sent from a friend who wanted to implement what I was describing in the tweet

Nat Eliason@nateliason
OpenClaw + Wiki + Granola is an insane combo for collaborative knowledge work. I think in an AI world we might want more meetings, not fewer, since you can implement the post-meeting work almost instantly.

@rasbt @willdepue @ChiefScientist Hardware workarounds for software problems is a special kind of commitment.
English

@willdepue @ChiefScientist You are joking but I use an hdmi version of this for OpenClaw.
But to be fair, you could just use software (caffeinate, amphetamine apps) to keep the laptop awake.
English

let me say this out loud here: there is absolutely zero reason to use openclaw in may 2026. a general agent exists. hermes agent does coding, video editing, marketing design, research, browser automation, terminal work. one tool, all under your roof.
Joel - coffee/acc@JoelDeTeves
@sudoingX What is the reason for using Openclaw at this point? I have had zero issues with Hermes.

The Openai Whisper skill runs speech to text locally on your machine.
No API key, just the Whisper CLI, with model size as a knob you can trade for speed or accuracy.
Feed it a meeting recording, a voice memo, or an audio file you want to translate, and get back text or subtitles.

The Prismfy Web Search skill points your OpenClaw at ten engines at once, including Google, Reddit, GitHub, arXiv, and Hacker News.
No proxy juggling, no CAPTCHA detours, and a free tier that does not need a card.
Good when you want a default web search that pulls from places search APIs tend to skip, like Reddit threads and paper indexes.

@mr_r0b0t @Alibaba_Qwen @NousResearch Free inference from two hyperscalers in the same week is not something you plan around.
English

Very cool move by @Alibaba_Qwen and @NousResearch ❤️
How can you not love all this free inference for Hermes Agents users?

Qwen 3.6 Plus by @Alibaba_Qwen is now FREE for a limited time on Nous Portal! Nous Portal is one easy subscription that gives you access to 300+ models, exclusive discounts, and bundles your tokens and paid tools together for hassle-free setup and simple billing.
English

@Saboo_Shubham_ @Teknium Asking an agent to tell you which agent to use is a move.
English

@Teknium This will make it even more useful. Here is the recommendation from my Hermes agent to use both of them together.

English

Give our early preview of Computer Use (with ANY model) a try today!
Built into the latest Hermes Agent and powered by @trycua - opens the door to any model, not just the frontier models in special modes - to control your actual computer.
Best part, it doesnt take over your PC - you can continue to work and operate with full control of your keyboard, mouse, and screen - works entirely in the background!

@DavidOndrej1 Rewriting the whole file to patch one line is a known quirk, not sure why they haven't fixed it.
English

The Skill Creator skill helps your OpenClaw write new skills.
It walks through the structure, conventions, and metadata so the skill you generate actually works when installed, rather than looking right but failing on first run.
Use it the next time you find yourself doing the same multi-step workflow by hand and think it should be packaged.

The Sonoscli skill gives your OpenClaw control over Sonos speakers on the local network.
Discovery, play and pause, volume, grouping, favorites, queues, and a basic Spotify search are all one command away.
Good for routines like dropping morning playlist to the kitchen speaker, or muting the whole house when a call comes in.

@amitgwde OpenClaw works amazingly great with OpenAI models. And I took some of the tricks I learned from codex to make all models better!
English

@Teknium @adsilva264 The X API being half-broken is basically a feature at this point, forces you to get creative.
English

@adsilva264 Still trying to get a working x api for my hermes to use lol
English

@icanvardar Codex is a code tool, openclaw is running tasks on your behalf, they're not really the same thing.
