@afrnsude A pleasure to add the work to my collection. Being a male I appreciate to be reminded of the cultural patterns, that females have to deal with. I believe that raising awareness will help creating a more conscious way of interacting with each other in the future.

The negotiation around feminine bodies is so deeply embedded in visual culture that it often becomes invisible. We grow used to it:(
In this work, i tried to interrupt that habit , not by hiding the body, but by questioning the conditions under which it is allowed to appear.

Having this artwork stop functioning because a platform went down was the start of 2+ years of cascading collapses by outside of my control. (KnownOrigin, MakersPlace, Dew Drops, LG Art Labs, NiftyGateway, and more). Lots of lessons learned the hard way.
Bringing it back to life feels cathartic.

Besides her talent, I very much respect her courage and persistence.
She has a one of a kind artistic voice and she uses it to mix nostalgic moods, past and present, real and imagined.
She has managed to stay in her own lane and evolve her practice regardless of the markets.
