I'm 32 and tired. I need honest advice. I lost my husband when my daughter was just 5 months old. He left everything in her name. I'm a nurse and run a small shop, so I've always stood on my own. Two years later, I remarried. Just 4 months in, my new husband said his business was failing. Since then, I've been handling almost all the bills. I even gave him ₦2M to support him. Instead of things getting better, he kept demanding more. When I asked what happened to the money, he got upset and left. Now I've found out he secretly married another woman and even built a house for her. She's pregnant for him. We've been apart for 4 months. During a family meeting, he claimed he left because I refused to buy a car in his name. The painful part? My own mother and siblings are supporting him. They say I should transfer my shop and car to his name to “save my marriage.” They're also pressuring me because of my age and my child. But he has made it clear, he's not leaving the other woman. Now I'm stuck… Should I give up everything I've worked for (and what belongs to my daughter) just to keep this marriage? Or should I walk away and start over?

My uncle used to struggle a lot. He tried many businesses, but nothing worked. He was even in debt of 50 million, and life was very hard. His wife left him because of the situation. But me and my family didn’t give up on him. We supported him and advised him to try poultry farming. He listened, started small, and worked very hard every day. I visited him during the Easter period, and I was very surprised. His poultry farm has changed a lot. There are chickens everywhere and plenty of eggs. He was so happy to see me and even gave me 3 chickens and a crate of eggs for Easter. I was very happy for him. Now his life is better, and his hard work is finally paying off.

I don’t agree with the husband,by virtue of marriage the husband is now a part of the family ,so I understand why they allocated money to them ,and besides,it wasn’t just him,it’s all the sons in-law .his response of it not being his responsibility was very wrong .if he was unable to pay because he didn’t have I would understand.

My wife has been fighting me because I refused to pay ₦500,000 to bury her father. Her family shared the bill for all the sons-in-law ₦500k each. Meanwhile, the man has five grown sons. I told my wife, “I’m sorry, but it’s not my responsibility to bury your father when his own sons are alive and well.” She reported me to her family. They called me, expecting me to comply. I told them clearly; I will give what I can, but I won’t be forced to pay a fixed amount. They got angry, called me rude, and said they don’t want my money again. Now my wife hasn’t spoken to me since. I'm the one being punished for refusing to do what her brothers should be doing.

This girl has been living with her boyfriend for the past two years after her service, but her parents thought she was living alone in Lagos. I guess her parents were already suspecting that she was living with a man, so they used her younger sister to pressure her to let her visit her where she lives in Lagos. After so many attempts, she finally agreed so it wouldn’t look like she was hiding something. She allowed her sister to come to her boyfriend’s house, but she left on the second day. When the younger sister got home, she told their parents everything…about a month after she had left. The parents later showed up with the police. They arrested the guy for abduction and brought a car to pack their daughter’s belongings from his house. They are also taking her to hospital for pregnancy test and fertility test.
