Things that really suck about being hard of hearing: constant tinitus, asking ppl to repeat themselves, TV / Movie / Music volume not consistent, wife just asked I can hear the owl outside (no I can’t). Public spaces can be difficult. Accents can be hard! Just ranting.

First time shooting with the new riser today. So much lighter than the previous Sebastian Flute riser, and much more comfort and control. Loved it!

@sanchez_m_m Hard agree. Absolutely nothing wrong with spice & smut in books but not in those targeted specifically at 14yos! How can publishers say MG goes up to age 12 then think the next reading step is on page s3x? 😖

I say this with no hate intended to the author and publisher, but today I learned about a newly released YA dark academia novel that is a Good Morning America YA Book Club Pick and apparently follows a trio of characters aged 18 who are involved in a lusty throuple relationship with explicit on page s3x scenes. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! This novel is marketed to ages 14 and up, and as a mom of four teenagers I find this UNACCEPTABLE! Can we please keep YA books spice and smut free?!!? I miss the days of losing myself in Twilight, Hunger Games, and Divergent, and it's a passion of mine to create propulsive stories that are appropriate for teens. I'm glad to see that ARC readers are leaving concerned and honest feedback about this novel on Goodreads and I hope it shows authors and publishers that this is NOT what we want for our teens. They deserve better!🫶

I yearn for the days where "I don't know" was an actual answer, and you accepted that you didn't know some stuff, other people accepted that they didn't know some stuff, and everyone fucked off.
