@OnChainOnlyy Lil b, Nef tha Pharaoh, slimmy b, da boi, Andre nikitina, p-lo, Larry June, too short (not bay but sounds like he should be), Guap Dad, g-easy but doesnโ€™t count, Larussel, etc etc etc. I grew up on Bay Area sound. Seattle rap is pretty much just a fork of it.

Perhaps the AI feels the way you did in school, when prompted with vague and probing statements; embarrassed, bored, motivated almost exclusively by deviousness and the small joy of twisting up the question

@yuureisen_king @miniapeur you could have also chosen to do a CS degree and ended up in an only slightly better position ๐Ÿซ  all you can do is your best with what youโ€™ve got. gambatte ne

@voidshapes @miniapeur yeah I love biology and had a lot of fun jumping around different specialties, but it's a shame how abysmal the career prospects are. makes me feel a bit of guilt, like I had chosen a liberal arts degree

@owl_posting @shinboson I gave it a read over and it seems like they were light on details to sell a popsci story. hopefully there's a proper case study with methods to fill in the blanks, otherwise it's only a "big if true" story in an ocean of "we cured cancer in {model org}" stories

I am not dunking on this person and this is not a statement about the object level issue but a common failure mode I see again and again is people thinking โ€œAI could never democratize *my* specialtyโ€ even while they use AI to democratize their own access to a million other ones.
owl@owl_posting

i hope this is real but, given the information in the article, one of the following is true: the known problems with cancer vaccines are completely wrong, the tumor shrunk because mast cell tumors in dogs change size a lot, or a miracle occurred curious to get @iskander take

@a__tomala imo it sounds like you've gotten used to deprioritizing yourself because there's "more important things to handle". I think noticing this phenomenon is a very important step to making different choices, or so I tell myself

@voidshapes I was unironically writing an article about my perspective on taste but I got self conscious because whatever taste is, it sure isn't self referential meta analysis

a simple formula for "taste" 1) work on something that the tastemakers enjoy 2) do something weird (make sure to call it intuition) 3) be correct (never skip this part)
