Dismayed at the comments made by Jim Ratcliffe, owner of @INEOSGrenadiers. Cycling has given me opportunities to travel, make friends from across the world, and taught me more about diversity and tolerance than anything else. His views have no place in sport or anywhere.

@DaddyCoffee73 @INEOSGrenadiers He's a tax-dodging billionaire who employs migrants in his football and cycling teams. I think we've been VERY quiet.

@willwrite4cake @INEOSGrenadiers I don't think they've remained quiet, we just don't have much of a voice compared to other sports. And with cycling being so Euro-centric, Ratcliffe's comments don't get much coverage outside the UK.

@JezCox Hope at least one of you has the cojones to call out Jim Ratcliffe - an immigrant living in Monaco who employs immigrants at his football club and cycling team - about his incendiary anti-immigrant comments.

Back to cycling this weekend...

@jeremycwhittle Am shocked by the silence of cycling fans/groups about this. Meanwhile, football fans, unions, anti-racism groups and politicians all condemn his comments.

@benonwine First of all, don't stereotype them as "cyclists". Some of them are dads. Some of them sons. Some of them husbands. But all vulnerable road users. Far more vulnerable than a person enclosed by metal and air-cushions. So show them a little patience, they're not breaking the law.

First visit to Hill Dickinson on Sunday. Wow! Walk from Moorfields with 92-yr-old mate was easy 25-min stroll. Acoustics inside amazing. Only downer was my block, 231, next to Unique Seats block - it was like Whack a Mole, people jumping up every five mins to go the loo.
