@tomdanielson Absolutely brilliant race, the result doesn’t do justice to the rides by Pog and Wout to regain control after the crash. Great to see Wout able to podium, credit to TVL and Victor in particular, and brilliant ride by Tom, really settling in to his new role. 10/10 👌

My thoughts after an incredible Milan San Remo… wow! 1. While it’s obvious, let's talk about the fitness/form of Tadej. He definitely came to this season and this race stronger than ever. His chase back and moving up into position on the base of the Cipressa was insane. Then attacking right off of that and riding away to the fastest-ever ascent of the Cipressa with a headwind shows he is at his best level by a mile this season. I honestly am so inspired. He backed that up with a record pace up the Poggio, dropping MVDP and riding away with Pidcock barely holding on. He also did the majority of the work today in the winning move (as he should) and won the sprint leading it out. Hard to see anything but a new level for Tadej in 2026, which netted him a win in a race, and under circumstances, that few would see as a likely win.

My grandson came home yesterday and told his mum that they had a lesson on muslims, and their religion in school that day. Today, my family decided that as Christians, catholics, and with Jewish relatives as well as women's rights activists aplenty within our family, this was not appropriate, needed, or wanted. Monday, the head teacher will have a complaint she never imagined, she will never forget and will never wish repeated.
