@fullnessofjoy16 B. You end with the most evocative part of the sentence (the simile), with the necessary context before. It lets the reader focus on that lovely comparison, as opposed to burying it in the middle of the sentence as in A.

@TolkienSociety Sure she did, but that doesnโt mean I want to see it โreading about it is different. There are ways to film scenes that suggest nudity without showing it.

@elteetrav @TeawithTolkien Well, mushrooms and comfort food is a Hobbit thing. I just happened to have the ingredients for Salisbury steak at hand.
Highly recommend the audio books! Rob Inglis is a great narrator.

@withclassics @TeawithTolkien Salisbury steak with mushrooms is a hobbit thing? One of these days Iโm going to have to read this stuff. Maybe Audible.

It's #hobbitday! The weather is rainy and cool. I'm lighting my eleventy-first birthday candle, listening to LOTR, making Salisbury steak (mushrooms!) with mashed potatoes for dinner, and scones with apple cider jam for dessert. There will also be hot cocoa. @TeawithTolkien

@NoldorApologist Publication absolutely, definitely for the first read. Chronological is fun for a second (or third, or sixth) read just to mix things up.
But the first time you've gotta start with LWW.

@BrentonDana This has literally never occurred to me, and I am the worst about forgetting attachments. Thank you!

@mstiefvater I did not say BEAGLE? out loud but I said it that way in my head; does that count?

@Sally_Clarkson Virgil Wander by Leif Enger is a delight. I read it during a hard time a few years ago and it was exactly what I needed. Full of heart and hope and life, with a bit of whimsy thrown in for good measure.
