@Catlin_Tucker Districts need to find the balance between explicit criteria of curriculum and creativity. Curriculum needs to give teachers a framework and models. At the same time, it should allow for innovation. I fear many districts will over rely on AI, rather than practicing teachers.

Adopted curriculum brings consistency, alignment, & research-backed materials—all worthwhile. But when "fidelity" becomes "follow it exactly as written," teacher creativity gets sidelined. Have you tried Gems in Gemini yet? I just created a “gem” using a rubric and research guide. I directed the AI to work as a coach in idea development and writing refinement. I have experimented, acting as a student, and am excited by the results. Can’t wait to use with students!
