Absolutely incredible that Frank coached this level of performance and then we didn’t see anything remotely similar in terms of bravery in any other game post this
@SpursArmyTweets *Outplayed Forest for 44’, could’ve had two first half penalties if Spurs were officiated like certain other clubs…even so, the Forest performance and result obviously weren’t up to the required level.
Igor Tudor left #thfc without a payout.
Whilst it didn’t work out, I have to say, I have a lot of respect for Igor. Joined us whilst we’re sinking, trying to perform an emergency operation on the damage left by Thomas Frank and the incompetency of Johan Lange and Vinai Venkatesham.
I think we saw some positive signs, but appointing someone with no prior experience of Premier League football was always a risk in this situation. He was always going to be judged by the results, and I think they’re harsh.
❌ Randal Kolo Muani has a goal disallowed to make it 2-2 in the North London Derby, lose 4-1.
❌ Raul Jimenez pushes Radu Dragusin in the build up to Fulham’s first goal - goal given after VAR check for the exact same reason as the above disallowed goal, putting Fulham 1-0 up after just seven minutes.
❌ Micky van de Ven sent off with #thfc 1-0 up at home to Crystal Palace. Spurs then capitalise and concede 3 in less than ten minutes.
❌ Antonin Kinsky makes two huge errors at Atletico Madrid, complimenting a freak opening 22 minutes and we find ourselves 4-0 down. Lose 5-2.
✅ Tactics spot on and performance incredible determined as we draw 1-1 away at Liverpool.
✅ Fight and resilience shown as we beat Atletico Madrid in the second leg, albeit defeated on aggregate with the first leg damage too much.
❌ Spurs lose 3-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. No words for this one really…
You can see the jist of things. And when the players are showing very little fight, it’s very difficult.
@JacobsBen Absolutely terrible.
Also, that’s THE ugliest stadium for television in the history of stadiums. Looks like it’s lit with fluorescent bulbs from the ‘70s. Absolute eyesore, makes any sporting event nearly unwatchable. Atrocious.
FIFA-mandated hydration break, and in a closed-roof stadium, has done nothing other than take the sting out the game.
Perhaps different with more at stake during the World Cup, but every single player standing around on the field for over half the three-minute pause just wanting to get on with it.
We don't know yet what division Spurs will be wearing it in, but new kit images for next season have begun to leak online. The Tottenham away kit looks...interesting. football.london/tottenham-hots…
@Lilywhite_Rose He has actually scored 2 additional goals that *should* have counted but were chalked off by appalling VAR interventions. He had another correctly ruled out for an offside—lovely strike from edge of the box, though, nobody knew it was offside when he hit it.

The World against Arsenal FC 🌍😂😂
@Ben_White86@sjhard1975 I’ve never understood why clubs simply aren’t permitted to do business with clubs in which they hold an ownership interest. That would fix most of the problem immediately. It’s just common sense (which, I realize, doesn’t exist in sport any more)
@sjhard1975 It's mad - I don't know how they didn't see that it might be an issue.
Or, more likely, some did...but the right palms were greased at the top and so it was waved through.
Have been saying for years that Chelsea's abuse of the (now closed) long amortisation loophole was short-term gain but likely longer-term pain & it seems we may now be approaching that stage (🤞🏻)
The Athletic explain it in more detail here but to summarise it, when you buy a new
@mitch_fretton He could’ve used much, much stronger language and still been 100% correct. But apparently it’s wrong to criticize objectively horrendous and inconsistent officiating.
@MiguelDelaney So the ethics-deficient knobs who exploit every loophole, sell their women’s team and buildings to themselves to squeeze into PSR “compliance,” THAT’s the group that gets off with a free pass because they pointed the finger at ex-owner??? Disgraceful!
Chelsea "blatantly cheated and still have the trophies to show for it"
There might be logic to the Premier League's decision given the new ownership self-reported but the outcome overlooks what it's actually about - putting on fair competition

@NathanAClark Ridiculous and meaningless slap on the wrist for building their club via decades of institutional corruption and cheating. Disgraceful! It’s tantamount to an encouragement to cheat, if anything.
🚨Chelsea have been given a £10.75m fine by the Premier League for alleged historic agent payments. There is no first-team sanctions but they are subject to an immediate nine-month academy transfer ban.
@acmilanchampo21 Inconsistent, I agree, but this is how it should always be officiated. There’s almost nothing worse in football than outcomes affected by soft penalties.
Dumfries flopped, it wasn’t called, and they paid for it with an equalizer. For me, that’s a good goal.
BUT
Inter did probably deserve a penalty for the challenge on Frattesi 2 mins later, or at the very least a VAR check. The touch was soft, but it was there
