@BaseballQuotes1 He must be paid by the word. He talks way too much, and much of his incessant noise has nothing to do with the game. Let the game breathe and shhhhhhhh ... take a step back and let us enjoy the game, please.

@MLB Two of the all-time greatest players in MLB history, who get respect, but not nearly enough respect, in my opinion, are Henry Aaron and Stan Musial. Both are underrated and under-respected as far as I am concerned.

DYK: Hank Aaron remains in the top 3 all-time in Hits (3,771-3rd), Home Runs (755-2nd), RBI (2,297-1st), Total Bases (6,856-1st), and Extra Base Hits (1,477-1st). Named an All-Star a record 25 times, Aaron was born OTD in 1934. #BlackHistoryMonth

@BBGreatMoments Batters running out (running hard) grounders to short. Breaking up DPs with takeout slides. Collisions at home between runners and catchers. Pitchers not showing up hitters (no fist pumps, chest thumps). Batters not showing up pitchers (no bat flips or pointing to heaven).

@jk_rowling @ForWomenScot Thanks for the nota bene warning. If that's the case, perhaps I should bid higher. 🤔😅

Annotating as I read to review. Might auction my scribbled-on copy, proceeds to go to @ForWomenScot. NB: nobody who’s offended by swearing should bid.

@jk_rowling I've never read that in a novel ... "She entered the room with confidence. Her breasts were valid." JKR, feel free to use that in an upcoming story, if so moved. 😅

@BBGreatMoments Deferring money is not the issue, though I believe players should get interest on the deferred money--but that is their negotiation, not mine. What matters is that the team is not charged for actual AAV as part of yearly luxury tax tables. That is a loophole and should be closed.

I remember both HRs clearly. Took Barney Schultz long. Mantle came back from the ‘63 injury with 34 HR .303 BA and 111 R’sBI. I knew those numbers by heart. However, I just looked him up and he led the AL in OPS and OBP too. No one was talking about OPS or OBP back then. Even after his career tailed off and his BA dropped < .300 his Lifetime OPS was a not-too-shabby .977. One helluva Base Ball Player. Still one of the very best for me.

"I remember hearing how he had lost a step and was a little past his prime. But when he got me in the 9th, going the other way with a shot to left-center, and hitting that game winner earlier in the series, I couldn't help but think how good this guy truly was...and he was." Bob Gibson on Mickey Mantle's 18th and final World Series home run, Game 7,`64 WS.

Little known fact: in ancient times non-binary people chose their names by selecting the herb or periodic table element with the exact same number of letters as their Enneagram type. Should I decide to abandon the binary, I will go by Thyme or Boron.
