@yand @ypkr Type the creation email instead of the username in that field and it will work, you can always restore the accounts through the OG email even if it has been unlinked for years.

Update: It's been over a day now and my Instagram accounts @yandere and @pompompurin are still disabled, and hacked following the recent Meta AI-related exploit that effected me and thousands of others. I have screenshots, logs, and account activity showing events that occurred before my accounts were disabled. Since then, I’ve been repeatedly logged out, and all of my linked Meta accounts were affected through Accounts Center. The recovery process is now directing me to verify through an email address ending in …6@gmail.com, on one of my accounts which is not my email and was never associated with my accounts. The attached screenshot shows this. Despite providing evidence and spending countless hours with automated support, I’ve been unable to reach a human representative. Meta’s AI systems appear to have failed both in preventing this issue and in helping legitimate users recover their accounts afterward. I am requesting a manual investigation and restoration of my accounts. @Meta @Instagram @facebook @andymstone

@yand click " forgot password " enter your username or any info associated with your original account then click " can't reset your password " the first email address associated with the account before the hack will appear at the top even if it has been changed multiple times

@AntwanGRT @yandere @pompompurin I was stuck in a loop of being logged out and I was able to see the password changes in app. I also got a compromise email which I posted in a previous thread, but now i'm disabled so I can't even secure my account.

My access was not restored. My Instagram accounts @pompompurin and @yandere were compromised during the Meta AI account takeover incident, and the attackers’ activity resulted in my account being disabled. I’ve spent days contacting support, but I’m only receiving automated responses and broken links. @andymstone Can you please escalate my case for human review and account restoration?

@manipulate Thank you for raising this. While we have already secured impacted accounts, we are now working to restore access to affected individuals. Some people may receive password reset notifications and some may be asked security questions when they try and log into their accounts.

I kept telling everyone the Instagram exploit is not "patched" because AI is not linear. The exploit evolves so long as the tooling is still there. I just had one of my OG accounts hit. Got it back but this is June 2, 2026 almost two days post patch.

My instagram accounts (@pompompurin & @yandere) were compromised a couple nights ago via the Meta AI exploit and both accounts were later disabled. I’ve spent countless hours trying to reach an actual person at Meta, only to be bounced between automated systems. Meta’s support AI sent me four dead links back-to-back and offered no real path to assistance. It feels like there’s no human oversight anywhere in this process. When something as serious as an account compromise happens, users shouldn’t be trapped in an endless loop of AI-generated responses. Does anyone know of a legitimate way to contact a real Meta support representative who can review cases like this? It’s hard to comprehend how a company worth over a trillion dollars can allow something like this to happen and then leave affected users with virtually no way to get help or even an acknowledgment that there’s a problem. @instagram @AIatMeta @DarkWebInformer

@yand @pompompurin @yandere If the original email and phone number are still linked to the account, a manual review should be enough to verify ownership and help get it recovered. The hard part seems to be getting the case in front of an actual person.

@andymstone You previously stated that this issue had been fixed and that affected accounts would be restored. My accounts are still disabled, and I’ve been unable to reach anyone through Meta’s support channels despite spending hours trying.
