This week, our partner, TikTok 🤳 hosted a Canada Learning Code #TeenAmbassadorProgram demo day at their office in #Toronto!

The evening was full of presentations from our fantastic teen ambassadors, who each built an app using UX/UI to fill a gap in their community. Solutions involved tackling health, safety, and climate change.

Three senior staff from @TikTokCanada, @MayaShoucair, James Huyler-Thomson, Patricia Popovici and a member of Canada Learning Code’s board of directors, Jeff Szeto, judged the teens based on ​​innovation, sustainability, presentation and impact.

The winning group, Project Heart Scope by Prerana and Diane, presented an idea that will improve heart disease diagnosis and prediction using machine learning ❤️‍🩹 (yeah, they’re super bright).

Some serious issues were tackled that evening, but we all love to have a little fun too, and the teens were treated to a cool TikTok office tour! Thanks, @TikTokCanada 🕺 #TeensLearningCode
