The evening was full of presentations from our fantastic teen ambassadors, who each built an app using UX/UI to fill a gap in their community. Solutions involved tackling health, safety, and climate change.
Three senior staff from @TikTokCanada, @MayaShoucair, James Huyler-Thomson, Patricia Popovici and a member of Canada Learning Code’s board of directors, Jeff Szeto, judged the teens based on innovation, sustainability, presentation and impact.
The winning group, Project Heart Scope by Prerana and Diane, presented an idea that will improve heart disease diagnosis and prediction using machine learning ❤️🩹 (yeah, they’re super bright).
Some serious issues were tackled that evening, but we all love to have a little fun too, and the teens were treated to a cool TikTok office tour! Thanks, @TikTokCanada 🕺 #TeensLearningCode
