I just got back from The Gambia and would love to share some of the amazing projects that your donations have contributed towards! 🧵 Please check out @Spotproject_ and their amazing work

One idea sparked a legacy project which now provides free schooling to children who otherwise would not have access to education

Safeguarding is a priority for @Spotproject_ in ensuring the safety of the children that they support

@Spotproject_ As well as secular studies @Spotproject_ emphasises on Quranic and Islamic studies A testament to their work is that the teachers of this madrassa are orphan boys who went to SPOT and completed higher education programme. They are now back and inspiring students to do the same

@Spotproject_ The syllabus has expanded in a year and now includes French language studies from grade 1-6. The school @Spotproject_ held a spelling bee competition for children to gain confidence and show off how much they have learnt.

@Spotproject_ The school itself had expanded. In my visit last year the local school was only available for younger years, grade 1 and 2. Now the school teaches through to grade 6. This is bc of your donations and support which has transformed the lives of these young people.
