Hetzner is pricing themselves out of business. Wanted to play around with pgdog for myself for testing some pgbus stuff. The database server I have and pay ~ €60 for is now almost 140 EUR per month. I would have gladly paid upwards 200 monthly for 2 replicas but definitely not going to pay 400! Guess I am moving my experiments to Planetscale!

as if there was better and cheaper alternative to their offerings. It's not Hetztner got expensive, it's their users neet raise praices to keep up with the market. Unfortunately. For small vps, for dev etc there are many small vendors that deliver. but that's toy pricing for toy products. At least that's my today's landscape understanding
