Today is my last day at @FortuneMagazine. Honestly, I'm feeling quite verklempt (look it up! 🥹).
When I started covering AI full time at @VentureBeat in April 2022, "generative AI" wasn't even a thing yet. What a roller coaster ride it's been ever since!
When @jeremyakahn brought me on as the second member of his AI team in March 2024 after being solo for years, I was so honored. He has been a steadfast support and champion every step of the way, as well as a brilliant editor who chatted me from across the pond at all hours.
I'm so proud of the work I did at Fortune — reporting on everything from frontier AI Labs to hyperscalers to AI data centers to policymakers, landing my first cover story (thanks @alexandr_wang!) and working alongside an incredible team of writers, editors and video, social and events talent.
But I've always been drawn to building things — starting with the family newspaper I launched at age 11. I think the time is right to build again. I'm launching next week, so stay tuned.
The AI story is only getting bigger. I'm not getting off that train — just hopping onto another track!🚆
