@tealisa_ Generalize something that came out of my community? No. I understand it.
U must be unaware that IP of Black Americans is not owned by Black Americans.
And messages that are being spread through repetition and suggestion to keep us docile.
English

@001_alt And hip hop without thinking of the independent scene in those genres, and of the art created by, per se, queer and female artists
English

I appreciate the appreciation but Sinners' message went righttt over y'all's head huh?
DNA Dont Lie@MelaninDominant
I will take this over thug and twerk culture any day
English

@tealisa_ For someone who doesn’t live in a black American community. You sure have a lot to say.
you don’t know what you’re talking about.
And just because you’re being validated by likes doesn’t mean you’re correct
English

@001_alt You are repeating word by word discourses racist white Brazilians use to demonize our funk culture, while remaining blind to the fact that the messages promoted in white dominated genres are much similar, because they're all created under the same society. You also generalize rap

@001_alt "degeneracy" is a myth created by fascists to persecute those they deemed as obstacles to their rule and view of the world. Secondly, every single art form under the society we live in is bound to have examples that are problematic, even samba has songs that are sexist, for ex.
English

@tealisa_ intellectually dishonest comparison. No one here is advocating to repress black art.
Since the 90’s, the messages promoted in rap and hip-hop have damaged communities in the United States.
Twerking while related to the diaspora has a different connotation in this context.
English

@001_alt Sambistas were called lazy and bums by white society, much like how funkeiros (Brazilian funk musicians and dancers) get called thugs just like black hiphop, rap and funk artists in the US. These names are used to repress black art, Sinners told us to free ourselves from them
English

@tealisa_ You can let my hand go.
And read slowly.
The commodification of American black culture promotes degeneracy.
The cultural significance between the two practices are different.
To say otherwise would be untrue.
English

@001_alt I'm gonna hold your hand when I say that samba was also accused of being accompanied with "damaging messages and behaviors", it was literally illegal once slavery ended here in Brasil in the end of the 19th century, and playing and dancing samba could lend you in jail for truancy
English

@blitzjb7 @RoyIsThaTruth Their entire business plan is selling to “Blacks” dipshit.
You people would have nothing without something to punch down on.
English

@RoyIsThaTruth Business increases when the public knows there will be no blacks there.

I used to buy two shawarma when i was dating my now ex girlfriend every week. One for her and one for me when money enters my hand. We dated for four years. I was broke one good week, she went to buy one shawarma and turned her back to me until she was done eating it.

i am@notshalom_
women have no pity for you, they are ready to spend your money to zero if given the chance and after look you in the eyes and say i don't date broke men.

normalize seeing a woman’s lack of effort as her lack of interest in you, regardless of what she tells you.

English

@AIDIB_9JA @tema_nkulie What a goofy thing to say.
How are you hoes so goofy?
English

@tema_nkulie only for men. not for women. for women, u can be a virgin all ur life saving yourself for marriage, but u meet the wrong man and then he makes u a single mom.
English
