If half of the North American population bought a "Bitcoin lotto ticket printer" (1.2TH solo miner), that alone would make up 35% of the global hashrate today. Anyone who buys lotto tickets should buy a solo miner. You are essentially playing the Bitcoin lottery every 10 mins into perpetuity for a one time cost of $130 USD for a 1.2TH bitaxe solominer. This is the same as playing the Powerball 70 times. Alternatively or additionally if you wanna increase your odds, you can buy a Bitcoin heater to subsidize your heating cost while playing that lotto. Heat your home, (since you'll use that same money in heating utilities anyways, while playing the Bitcoin lotto forever, while decentralizing the hashrate. If you like playing the lotto, or you already heat your home, it kinda just makes sense to buy a Bitcoin miner.
