The embarrassing part about this is not excluding PCA. That's absurd, but whatever. Maybe an oversight.
The embarrassing part is him trying to explain why WAR isn't good and then going on to explain all the things WAR captures as ... what makes a player good.

Yeah, man, that's what WAR does.

Plays like this are what's ruining the game.
I completely understand a walk doesn't stop play and that he was on the base then off the base.
The problem is, due to the walk the runner is granted 2nd base, but because of the throw and not being able to hear the ball call, he's forced to slide and attempt to avoid the tag.
It's that action that causes his body come off of the bag. If he's granted 2nd base safely due to the walk, as he's supposed to be, the tag attempt should never happen in the first place.
This is what happens when you remove common sense from sports.

MLBPA interim executive director Bruce Meyer says that the players would actually be taking a $500 million paycut if they accepted MLB's salary cap proposal, and reiterated that they will never agree to a salary cap.
