Kaleb and I went out for dinner last night and I left a $20 tip on a $125 bill. The waiter didn't take it well and told us we shouldn't be going out to eat if we can't afford to tip at least 50. Now we're wondering if $20 isn't really enough.

True humanity isn't about feeling smug or 'sanctimonious', it's about empathy and compassion in action. Generously tipping (when you can) isnt leftist or rightist, its recognizing that service workers often rely on tips because the system pays them poorly. You dont have to overtip every time, and no one owes 50% just for showing up. But dismissing kindness as selfserving misses the point, small acts of generosity can genuinely brighten someones hard day without expecting praise. Thats not virtue signaling, it's basic human decency.
