🚨 Key figures from @RSF_inter 2023 round-up: ▶️ In total, 45 journalists were killed in connection with their work this year. ▶️ At least 13 of the 56 journalists killed in Gaza have been killed in the exercise of their duties or in connection with their work since the 7 October. ▶️ The 2023 figure is the lowest since 2002, with a gradual decrease since 2012. ▶️ Reasons for the decrease: drastic measures in editorial departments (equipment, training, procedures), the work of international organizations, perhaps the effect of additional precautions. rsf.org/en/rsf-s-2023-…
