@moon_isnotonfre i think that as someone from south asia also that grew up in a largely ignorant western area i actually didn’t know most people dont include south asia in their definition of the middle east, as i grew up often being grouped into that term too. thank you for explaining !!

i still think middle east is orientalist but south and west asia share a lot of struggles and are close geographically so i feel like it should be replaced with something including both, as replacing it with just west asia ignores south asia entirely when it was included before
