สาเหตุที่ภาพดวงจันทร์มีสีเป็นแบบนี้เพราะคนถ่ายเขาถ่ายหลายภาพแล้วนำมาซ้อนกัน จากนั้นนำไปปรับสีเพื่อศึกษาแร่ธาตุบนโซนนั้นๆ สีฟ้าคือโซนแร่ไทเทเนียม แดงคือธาตุเหล็ก ที่เหลือจะเป็นพวกอลูมิเนียม แคลเซียม
เพราะงั้นสีที่เห็นมันอยู่บนนั้นบนดวงจันทร์มาตลอดอยู่แล้ว แค่ตาเรามองไม่เห็น
