@specutainment for some of us the must have owned guitar is a Jackson RR!!
My Strat has been in the loft for 17 years, LP Standard has been up there for a decade.
Plenty of Jackson and Ibanez around the house, including the Adrian Smith Strat - the ultimate Fender/Jackson Strat!

Loving the amount of Gen 1 TCR cars that are running. In a world where most TCR drivers are obsessed with upgrading to newer models the fact you can still grab well looked after Gen 1 cars for £45K, why are there not more here?!!

Is the music around the campsites good this year? I hear it's up my street.
Down at Croft during the week Zak Brown was out with a GT3 McLaren and GT2 Ferrari, you'd have loved it, reckon he could match Toto at the ring?!!

@Neilfarrington Devastated. Still have memories of Dundee away in 1986 when all that was needed was a draw. Then there was the cup final.....

@hadgett7 @GregHuggett @Pete20221 @tiff_tv @F1 Spain has reported massive viewing figure drops through Movistar and DAZN - over a 40% drop. France and Germany, reported locally as 43% and 21% dives with Austria reducing by over 30%.
The only European rise is Italy (Antonelli fever.)
As long as USA and China grows......

@GregHuggett @Pete20221 @tiff_tv @F1 Most races are attended by false fans who only go so they can brag about being there. They know naff all about the sport or its history. As for tv and “Drive To Survive” they’re soap fans. Says it all.

Like a smiling assassin with no respect at all to fans like me that have followed @F1 for most of their lives … but at least his shareholders will be happy!
The Race@wearetherace
When Jon Noble commented on fans "falling in love" with F1 because of its speed, Stefano Domencali disputed that the sport is bigger than having the best drivers, and the racing itself:

@wearetherace The ramblings of a man trying to save his own backside.....
He's up for the jump, to be replaced by a 'not my fault, we're gonna fix this' puppet.

Norris is articulate and interesting. When PR/marketing/management step in to "control the narrative" they usually kill the narrative
Donald McRae@donaldgmcrae
I interviewed Lando Norris and the world champion was open, honest and articulate. And then his management stepped in to police and muzzle him in an attempt to "control the narrative." From then on it did not go too well....this is what happened. theguardian.com/sport/2026/apr…

@bizzofsport To be correct, it should be 1 in 5 people by that metric.
1 in 10 would put the population at 350,000 people, when Sunderland is home to around 180,000 people.
Obviously they combine the metro/urban environs at the club.
Massive disconnect...

Sunderland’s rise this season has been one of the standout stories in football.
A club that has spent the last decade fighting its way up, is now flying in its first season back in the Premier League.
Tom Burwell, interim CEO, has seen this up close as a board member, but is now stepping up with a club that is building a model that can actually sustain their place in the top flight.
Because @SunderlandAFC isn’t a typical football club… 1 in 10 people in the city holds a season ticket.
And business decisions aren’t just financial, they’re cultural. So now comes the hardest part. Turning a local, community-driven club into a global Premier League business without losing what made it special in the first place.
🗣️ “ The relentless obsession for performance on & off the field has to be our driver”
That shift changes everything:
- How you grow revenue
- How you build a fanbase
- How you approach sponsorship
- How you think about media and storytelling
But more importantly, how do you build a modern football club.
