February 18, today's date, marks the arrival in 1943 of the “Tehran Children," a group of Polish Jewish children, mainly orphans, who escaped Nazi German occupation and years of displacement. After Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939, hundreds of thousands of Polish Jews fled east into the Soviet Union. Amid bombings, deportations, starvation, and disease between 1939 and 1941, many children were orphaned or separated from their parents and placed in shelters across the Soviet interior. In 1942, Soviet authorities permitted the evacuation of Polish civilians and soldiers with the Anders Army under General Władysław Anders to Iran. Ultimately about 116,000 Polish refugees arrived there, including roughly 1,000 Jewish children. Of these, 730 were housed in Tehran at Dustan Tappeh in what became known as the “Tehran Home for Jewish Children,” where many recovered from malnutrition and illness. On January 3, 1943, 716 children and their escorts departed Iran by truck, ship, and train. They arrived at the Atlit refugee camp on February 18, 1943. A second group of 110 children arrived later that year. In total, about 870 “Tehran Children” completed the journey. Ancient Indian scriptures, the Vedas, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, contain numerous, detailed descriptions of flying vehicles - Vimanas Researchers and proponents of ancient technology theories interpret them as descriptions of advanced, manufactured aircraft #MYSTERY 🇮🇳🔱

A golden face from Trebenishte Near Lake Ohrid (North Macedonia), Grave I at the Trebenishte necropolis used an ultrathin hammered gold mask, late 6th century BCE. Not a portrait, a statement: rank, protection, memory. What was the real goal: status, ritual, or both?
