This appears to be part of a trend/debate around “wall sits” (or wall squats) as a form of discipline/punishment for kids. Is this harmless tough parenting or exercise-based timeout? Others call it abusive, especially if prolonged or causing real distress.

@FarmGirlCarrie Use a programmable tstat. When you leave have set for 79 then have it set to what ever you want a couple of hours before getting home. The system will already be pumping out the humidity while gone and will easily drop temp before getting home especially if it’s later in the day.
