It’s sooo good—totally worth the wait and highly recommended! I truly love this story. It’s a youthful, pure love between two ‘little bitter souls’ who slowly heal each other. Sometimes, the most healing encounters happen at life’s lowest points.
Chi Sui, whose family falls apart, meets Shen Zhou—burdened by deafness and insecurity—during a cold winter at eighteen. From an awkward first meeting, they slowly grow closer, caring for each other in the most clumsy yet genuine ways. Their relationship is both adorable and deeply sweet.
Shen Zhou is gentle, refined, and a bit shy and awkward around her, while Chi Sui is kind, bold, strong, protective, and emotionally perceptive—always the one taking the initiative 😆 When two people this good meet, their attraction feels completely natural.
After discovering his hearing issue, Chi Sui reaches out to him and becomes his friend, always standing up for him and caring for him with genuine, equal kindness. She stays by his side, making him feel seen and never a burden and that he deserves to be treated with gentleness. And Shen Zhou’s love is expressed through quiet actions. He isn’t one for sweet talk, but he’s always there—whether she’s pretending to be strong or feeling vulnerable—awkwardly setting up a dance studio for her so she has a place to dance. He may not hear the noise of the world, but he understands every emotion Chi Sui feels, gently easing all her worries and exhaustion.
When he tries to break up out of fear of holding her back because of his family situation, she quickly gets to the bottom of things and promises to face the future together with him. Their feelings develop naturally, yet remain firm and unwavering.
An insecure “little puppy” is ultimately saved by a graceful “swan.”
Even though they spend five years in a long-distance relationship because of their studies, they never drift apart or lose their way. Shen Zhou gets into a top university, while Chi Sui joins the dance troupe of her dreams. Despite everything they go through, they never break up. Instead, they grow into better versions of themselves—and love each other even more.
