@rugal_fx Mate the geopolitics right now is insane. Risk sentiment is shifting every 1-2 days and the market is doing some crazy reverse sweeps. Hard times to be swing trading.

@EliteOptions2 Deep understanding of price at key levels, that alone filters out a lot of retail traders !

Master trading and making money never becomes a problem. Most people never get there because they focus on the wrong things for years. All you actually need is a deep understanding of how price moves at key levels and the mental discipline to wait for them. That's it.

Dropped out of university to trade full time. Not the smartest move on paper. Spent 2 years unprofitable. Coaching hockey on the side to pay the bills. Watching everyone else "build a future." Then something clicked. End of 2024, first profitable month. Since then, 5 figures across multiple prop firms. Everyone said get a degree, get a stable job. Play it safe. Glad I didn't listen because today, I'm my own boss.

@propfirmtrain Prop firms didn't create discipline they just made the consequences real enough to force it.

The traders who finished today green probably did the boring stuff right. Waited for setups. Sized correctly. Walked away when their daily limit hit. Strategy is personal. Discipline is structural. Funded models exist to enforce what traders struggle to enforce themselves.

What each timeframe is for: Weekly/Daily = major liquidity pools. 4H = directional bias. 15M = day trade entries. 5M = scalp entries. Each timeframe has ONE job. Don't confuse them.

@DenizTheTrader Swing or intraday — both work. But geopolitical risk makes swing trading a different game right now.

@DenizTheTrader Early on I thought more trades meant more money. Took a while to realize the best traders I know are borderline bored most of the time.

You don’t need to watch the news to make millions with trading If you know how to trade price action, you know that news events just speed up price in the direction that it is already wanting to go When you get good at reading price - you can basically predict what will happen after big news events That doesn’t mean you should full port CPI But it does mean that you don’t need “fundamental analysis” to make it big in trading

@jtrader Watched myself do this exact thing early on. Dropped a system after a rough patch, switched to something new then saw every setup I would've taken on the old one hit perfectly. That one stings 🥲

Markets have two modes: trending and ranging. A breakout strategy prints in a trend and bleeds in a range and vice versa. Here's what kills traders: They find a strategy that works, then watch it "stop working" when really the regime just changed underneath it. They blame the system. They switch to a new one trying to avoid losses. Then the regime flips back and the abandoned system would've printed.

@TradingComposur Honestly. The traders who never pulled the trigger waiting for the perfect setup lost more than the ones who took bad trades. At least the bad trades taught them something.
