Out of India, not into India. Any modification to this simple truth with talk of PIE is just noise. Northwest India was once the world’s economic powerhouse - perhaps up to 20% of humanity lived there. Yet we’re told steppe nomads with no towns, writing or unified language brought India civilisation - maths, astronomy, philosophy, trade. There was no “unified steppe homeland,” only a scatter of tribes and tongues. No evidence of migration into India - but vast evidence of Indian linguistic and cultural influence radiating outward, shaping Europe and Southeast Asia.
Hammer and Vajra@HammerandVajra

"It spawned Greek, Latin, and Slavic tongues, spoken by over three billion today. " False. This makes no sense historically or linguistically. It is indeed related directly to these languages, as well as their folk religions and certain cultural aspects. BUT this is because of common ancestral origins and much later because of trade and interactions. Not because Sanskrit brithed them. Sanskrit is very closely related to certain Slavic and Latvian / Lithuanian languages, which may be some of these closest to PIE we know aside from Sanskrit, but this is due to Indo-European commonality in origins. Sanskrit originally, during the Vedic period, along with Avestan, might be some of the closest we have to PIE languages, but they are not the fathers of all. Image is an old one but still rather solid.

@anantthakur85 @SlavCeltDharmi Why mock yourself and our country? Instead of chasing European dreams, stay here, build our nation, and invest in its future. In ancient times, we led in science, art, and medicine, attracting travelers worldwide. Let’s restore that glory and make India a golden bird again! 🕊️

People don’t believe that as a French designer, I genuinely love being in India. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been sharing my personal and professional experiences here, and while I’ve received a lot of love, many have also insulted me or questioned the truth behind my words. Why is it so hard to accept that India is a great country to live in? I’m not oblivious, like any other country, there’s work to be done: infrastructure, pollution, access to education everywhere. But that doesn’t erase the good. It’s time we learn to recognise the beauty in each country, and trust people when they see it.
