@BrianRoemmele If only this could be made in late 90s fashion without ruining it.

@TheProjectUnity 😂
I don't mean it, but this idea came to me; what if the guy on the right was the model for Indiana Jones, actually found mindblowing stuff but isn't allowed to talk about it?
ps: Why not a trio with heartwarming Dibbly Doo???

@AJamesMcCarthy There's potential; Find the people on the plane. Had I've been on that specific plane, I would be really excited to get that picture on my wall.

Thanks to the power of the internet, I’ve been put in contact with the crew. Thanks everyone! 🫡

I took 1.7 million photos over 6 days to catch this photo of a commercial jet in front of the sun. The moment it happened, TWO floating prominences were visible, making this not just my best aircraft transit photo, but one of the luckiest of my career! Videos of the transit 👇

@MattWalshBlog I trusted your recommendation on Hail Mary.
If Widows Bay is "as good", thanks.

Another point about our cultural decline. We started watching the show Widow’s Bay. It’s really good. Fantastic writing. Perfect blend of comedy and horror. Last night’s episode was legitimately one of the finest episodes of television I’ve seen in years.
If this same exact show came out in 2002, we’d probably remember it as an all time classic. But in 2026 most people haven’t even heard of it. It’s a blip on the radar. Another piece of content in the endless sea. You see it, or you don’t, and then it’s forgotten.
It’s not that good stuff isn’t made anymore. It’s that even when good stuff is made, we don’t have any shared experience of it. There’s plenty of good music you can find on Spotify, recent stuff, but you experience it in your little algorithmic silo. Almost nothing breaks containment to become a bonafide cultural phenomenon. That’s what made Project Hail Mary so unique. Severance maybe also achieved escape velocity. But even in those cases the escape is fleeting.
For the most part we experience the culture through the narrow pathway constructed for us by the algorithm. It might intersect with other people’s pathways, but only briefly. When we feel nostalgia for the Before Times, this is why. It’s not simply that we had a “better” culture back in the 90s or whenever. It’s that we had a culture at all.

@StefanMolyneux I think all (or mostly) male daycare might have a market someplaces. With focus on building and adventure.

@om_patel5 I thought about something like that for foxes (chickens), but a Nerf version...

THIS GUY BUILT AN AUTOMATED PIGEON DEFENSE SYSTEM FOR HIS BALCONY
pigeons kept nesting on his balcony so he engineered a full detection and deterrent system
here's how it works:
1\ camera captures video in real time
2\ an AI model identifies the pigeon in real time
3\ a water gun mounted on servo motors turns toward it
4\ sprays the pigeon automatically
the hardware:
> an orange pi 5 running the detection model
> a disassembled electric battery-driven water gun
> USB camera
> 2 servo motors for aiming
> resistors and a transistor to trigger the water gun
the detection runs on an AI vision model (yolo world v2) using the rockchip 3588's built in neural processing unit.
the best part is that it's not limited to pigeons. because it uses open vocabulary detection, you can reprogram the target to any object. squirrels, cats, raccoons, whatever is messing with your balcony
fully automated, runs 24/7, no manual intervention needed

@AJamesMcCarthy How many pictures would you need for it to appear sharp in the small TL version? And how long would that take?
