I respect the HELL out of what you're doing. Being a part of this is super cool and exciting.
The whole thesis being - the ability to create is being decentralized. What took teams of engineers years to do can now be done by a single person in months. This is not hyperbole either!
It's absolutely unprecedented territory. How cool is that? And how cool to provide a platform for funding a new generation of builders using AI?!
With that said - please take my opinion with a grain of salt.
But I don't want to have to hold 10%. I've bought back very little of the fees I've earned - I've distributed them to contributors for various reasons and have no intention of selling what I do hold.
I want to distance myself from the actual movements of the market. Healthy boundaries come to mind.
Here's the fundamental tension: I have the ability to pump the price with posts alone.
If I'm holding 10% and can move the market with my words, then every post becomes suspect.
When I share that Sol got his first tomato, is that genuine excitement or am I pumping my bags? When I announce bringing on a molecular biologist, am I building or manipulating price?
Even if I never intend to sell, the ability to sell creates a constant ethical minefield. Every authentic moment of sharing progress gets shadowed by "is this price manipulation?"
The holding requirement would force me to either restrain my authentic communication or turn every update into a potential pump.
By not holding tokens, I'm free to be purely authentic. When I post, it's about the project, not my position. The creator fees align me with community engagement and trading volume - I succeed when people are genuinely excited and participating, not when I'm timing an exit.
I think the requirement is sort of backwards. Isn't this about memes and belief? And if so, shouldn't the community be the ones staking based on what they believe in?
My stake is my reputation. I'm not risking money here - but my worth is what I'm bringing forth with what I'm building. By burning my supply, I've removed the Ring of Power. I literally cannot dump on believers. Every post is pure. Every update is genuine.
Isn't that more aligned with long-term success than holding tokens with exit liquidity?
The fees have been more than sufficient to fund real progress - equipment, scientific advisors, expanding the experiment. The model is working.
Food for thought.
Or should I say - tomato for thought. 🍅
