imo it has 0 upside to live on solana as a chain from a business perspective yes, it can and should integrate the solana stack / dapps / programs but there seems to be no economic value or transparency upside of choosing specifically solana for on-chain agents as everything you listed can be achieved without the agent living & syncing state & paying rent on sol other blockchains would make more sense and have a better use case without the downside of paying rent + txs and clogging the chain have you looked at alternatives? is there a reason to go for solana in this case other than token getting traction?

Great question Aspi, honest answer is it depends on what you're optimizing for. IPFS is cheaper and better for large blobs, but has no native finality or timestamp guarantees. On-chain memory on @solana gives you: 1. Atomic composability, so agents can read/write memory in the same tx as logic execution 2. Cryptographic timestamps at the slot level 3. Programmable access control via smart contracts 4. Sub-cent costs at scale For pure file storage, IPFS wins. For agent state that needs to be trustlessly verifiable and interoperable with other on-chain programs, that's where Solana actually earns its place. The "fully on-chain" label does get abused for token narratives and that's a valid concern. Architecture should follow use case, not marketing, would love to hear your thoughts on how it could be improved

Agents need to remember things permanently regardless of market conditions - Scale this to thousands of autonomous agents and you have constant, organic demand for Solana block space that has nothing to do with token trading - it’s the use case nobody designed Solana for, but it might be the one that justifies the infrastructure. Cheap, fast, immutable storage is exactly what agent memory needs - Solana stops being “fast chain for DeFi” and becomes the memory layer for machine intelligence. guys I need to lock in but I have no idea where things are moving so fast across so many fronts that half the time you’re not even sure it’s worth picking one should you even be doing what you’re doing anymore? in the next few years the key will be killer workflows, polished agents each with their own specialization, and deeply understanding your niche our roles will change dramatically. you can get hired to a more traditional role like you’ve been doing and yeah it will pay the bills, but is that really what you want to build toward? I personally want to be where agentic stuff is getting built and where ASI timelines are getting shortened who’s building this?

@sama just a matter of time before anthropic and other competitors start releasing their own openclaw alternatives let’s see how many openclaws there will be and how many remain “open”
