30 years ago on this day this goober founded what would become Amazon. Despite 30 years of indoctrination that price is everything. Americans are realizing that Amazon is a double edged sword. Amazon their e-commerce business will copy and undercut any product that its millions of Amazon sellers sell. Ask all the companies selling on Amazon. They are scared to do business with AMZ. But do so bc greed overcomes fear. AWS their cloud hosting business pretty much runs most of the tech industry. Especially the startups. For example if AWS and Cloudflare go down then expect huge chunks of the internet cease to function across the US. Bezos famous slogan was - your margin is my opportunity. Any industry that Amazon enters they will eventually try to destroy margins to force out small businesses. This a PSA for the community. Amazon is not one of us, doesn’t care about you. Does not share your values. In fact they are diametrically opposed to your values. They work closely with the feds to store and monitor all your purchases. (Think J6 crowd) I get that buying from Amazon is almost mindless at this point. Ppl smash that buy box like gamblers hit the tables in Vegas. Buy from smaller companies that share the same values you have. STOP GIVING THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! Price is not value. That’s a lie spread by large corporations to get you to buy more crap. ~ FA
