McLaren Racing kicks off today with the first drop of MCL / COLLECT, its official digital collectibles program, now powered by Hedera. 🏁 For those closely following everything at the intersection of major brands, fandom, and Web3, this is interesting because it puts Hedera inside an official McLaren experience designed for its community. Here’s what we know so far: • It is an official McLaren Racing program, now powered by Hedera • Throughout 2026, there will be 4 sets, each containing 6 digital collectibles • Completing a full set of 6 would grant access to prize draws, including things like tours of the McLaren Technology Centre and signed merch • The collectibles will also be able to move on a secondary marketplace • To store them, a Hedera-compatible wallet will be required, such as HashPack • All of this is being built for the Papaya Family, McLaren’s fan community There is one important detail that still remains unclear for now: the number of units available in this first drop has not yet been made public. So at this stage, the best approach is to stick to the official information already visible and stay alert for any updates they publish. The website currently lists the launch of the first drop for today at 16:00 GMT, so we are now less than an hour away.
