One company holds enough power to slow the AI revolution simply by controlling GPU supply. That should make people uncomfortable. When core infrastructure is this concentrated, innovation doesn’t slow because of ideas. It slows because of access. This is why AI infrastructure matters as much as AI models.

your sensitive data today (photos, money, files etc) can be made public within a decade this includes state secrets this a crazy fact about quantum computers the so called harvest now, decrypt later attacks basically, in many cases on the internet you can see encrypted versions of your data (passwords etc) today, you are safe because no computer is strong enough to break encryption — only theoretical quantum computers can do this *however* you can store the encrypted version of the data and then decrypt it later for when quantum computers arrive so everything that you did in secret today (pretty much most things on the internet use encryption), can/will be found out later for example: quantum computers will retroactively break the privacy of something like monero due to the cryptographic scheme it uses. everything that you thought was private at that time will be public! there are mitigations though, e.g zcash's tachyon will protect it from harvest now, decrypt later attacks nation states are already doing this with the state secrets of other nations
