$LPTH Great ER conference call as always. Some items discussed were already known quantities but some commentary was brand new that I want to highlight below. -"The space development agency (SDA) awarded in December $3.5 billion to build 72 tracking layer satellites. Those are all based on infrared cameras. Public information, which one can easily look up. That is $48 million per satellite....the infrared camera system typically is about a third of the overall cost of the satellite. So that is $16 million per satellite....So until now, Black Diamond was not even considered for use in those applications. And even though it has incredible properties suited just for that use case in terms of thermal behavior and such. So we had a couple of space-related programs in our category of potential $10-plus million programs. But those were small, definitely small compared to what we're facing now. So now we get to play a major role in this.... So couple that with SDA's very recent announcement, I think last week, for a constellation of 300 to 500 satellites in low Earth orbit. And satellites in low Earth orbit have a fairly short lifespan. And this is, as they say, a whole new ballgame for us....However, a word of caution: satellite development takes time. The government works in two-year tranches, which means the next designs, the ones we plan to be part of, are not going to go out for at least another two years. So this is a huge potential for us, but it's not immediate." -"...we also need to evaluate whether or what we want to do in the area of FPV drones, those are the one directional cheaper drones. The price targets are very aggressive and it's not entirely certain what the direction will be there. But we're looking into that, so stay tuned to some news there." -"Question: Are you also looking at building the lenses for optical inter-satellite links? ... We have quite a good business of free space optical communication between satellites. I think a pretty dominant position in that market. And that actually continues to grow. I think we're right in discussion with the customer about increasing capacity for that quite a bit. It's a different type of lenses. Those are much smaller lenses and it's more of a classical molded optics business." These satellite and drone programs are definitly something to be looking for follow-up info on in future conference calls, very exciting stuff. Some additional notes from me below as well: -Completed redesign of 2 G5 cameras with blackdiamond - with acquisition of Amorphous Technologies can complete redesign of remaining G5 cameras (by fall) -Added 9th program with $10m or more per year potential -Entering next phase of business cycle - rapid scaling using "war chest", now in execution mode, want to capture as much market share in the next 3-5 years as possible while they have the most clear advantage due to germanium constraints

@fundmyfund $9M of which is the recent announcement right? I'm a fan and avg cost is~$2 but I think Sam should be announcing those "only $5M" deals. They are significant based on your numbers. (Which, btw, solid work, saved me some time)

Backlog WAS $90M end of last Q $LPTH Reduce by $16M due to recognized revenue this Q Backlog down to $74M post revenue recognition Backlog up to $98M per PR. That means $24M new dineros in backlog. "Nice" Waiting on 10Q and conf call. Will give thoughts tonight sometimes. PPS is the PPS - 120% YoY growth doesn't matter if you don't sell Clorox, hamburgers, oil, heavy machinery, Pampers, or cola at this moment. Fair enough. I'll keep accumulating as they sell it into the $9s $8s $7s or $6s ($5.59 would work for me as well). My $15.1M estimate is replaced with $16.4M actual. I have 135% type growth next 2 quarters - I will adjust that based on what I hear tonight perhaps. Or keep it. About to hit $20M quarters I think.
