1/ Built Ostium's hedging system from scratch over last few months. Hard part: making async, eventually-consistent, reorg-prone smart contract events look indistinguishable to institutional FIX clients on the other side. Onchain trading no longer terminates at the pool.

@gakonst What if wallets had a built-in "dead man's switch"? A smart contract rule that transfers ownership to a designated address if the primary wallet is inactive for a set period (e.g., 3-6 months). No live provider needed. Solves the inheritance and loss-of-access problem.

Still doesn't feel like anybody has nailed crypto wallet account recovery UX that works w/o assuming a live provider. Even ZK-Email / JWT solutions require someone to manage a cert/pubkey on-chain, and that's an oracle, is this solve-able? Social recovery UX -- really meh IMO.

Let's talk $RAGE Tokenomics There are 3 big ideas we tried to bake into $RAGE: 1. Community > Team + Investors 2. Rage Quit for vesters 3. Airdrop to Cults Community Ownership To put it simply: the community should own more than team + investors from day 1. In our case the community owns 41.5% (Public Sale + Hyperliquidity + Airdrop + Incentives) and team+investors own 28.5%. The remaining 30% is in our community treasury (governed by token holders). Rage Quit The reality of launching a token is that people may want to exit. We want to make it simple for people who want to exit (w/o waiting their full vest). Rage Quit allows them to do this by receiving 40% upfront and burning the remaining 60%. Months of building, and now Rage v2 is finally in beta! We’ve spent about 2 years building / iterating on perp products and all those learning have culminated in v2. I think this can be our mark on the onchain perp space. Ironically in late 2021 (when we got together) nobody wanted to use onchain perps. The bull market was in full force and CEX founders were still CT’s main characters. But eventually CEXs fell from grace and with that onchain perps began to see some adoption. It started with @GMX_IO showing that you could build a big perp business with a bunch of ETH liquidity and a couple thousand traders. It turns out opening up 7/8 figure trades in a single transaction was great PMF. Around the same time, @GainsNetwork_io and @synthetix extended the oracle perps to more assets like forex and other top cryptos. And soon after that, @HyperliquidX + @aevoxyz brought on long tail assets using orderbooks on their custom AppChains. Fast forward to today, onchain perps have clear PMF but are still < 2% the size of CEX perps. Imo there are a couple things holding us back: - Many diff perps/L2s/Appchains - Each avenue has its own listings - Liquidity is fragmented - UX doesn’t rival CEXs These are the problems we set out to solve with v2. In simple terms, we aggregate all perps across all chains in one place, give you best price/funding execution, handle bridging for you behind the scenes, and use account abstraction to make trading feel like a CEX. I am running for the @synthetix Spartan Council. I think Synthetix v3 has one of the most ambitious visions for making decentralized perps multichain, scalable, and easy to use. There are a few core ideas behind v3: 1. Separate liquidity provision from trading infra 2. Bring new assets into the mix (ETH, stETH LPs) 3. Gib builders flexibility to roll their own derivatives 4. Allow LPs to provide assets to one or many markets (making new asset listing faster / safer). 5. Be available on any / every EVM chain (@arbitrum @optimismFND @BuildOnBase ) While the goals are ambitious and the mechanism design is sound. There are a lot of moving pieces that need to fall in place: 1. As we onboard ETH+stETH, how do we ensure value capture back to $SNX stakers? 2. How do we ensure that $sUSD has deep enough liquidity to onboard the next 10M traders? 3. How does $sUSD maintain its peg w/o charging an interest rate to borrowers? 4. Are current integrator fees sustainable? 5. Should integrator be paid in $SNX or $sUSD? On the above points, I plan to retain $SNX value capture while onboarding new LP assets. Ensure the peg/liquidity of $sUSD. And make it profitable for integrators to continue to grow.
