📢 We have some big news. After extensive internal deliberation, we've decided to walk back several of the features Modulo is built on. Starting today, your trade intent will be broadcast publicly to the entire network before it settles. We know sub-transaction privacy sounds nice, but frankly it made people suspicious. Transparency is a feature, not a bug. The bots will be notified. We're also removing 24/7 settlement. Markets close on weekends. They always have. There's a reason finance stops on Friday at 6pm and we don't think it's our place to question 60 years of institutional tradition. Your collateral will resume working on Monday morning like everyone else's. Additionally, we've decided that atomic settlement, where both legs of a trade complete at the exact same instant, is too reliable. The two-day settlement window exists for a reason and we respect that. Counterparty risk builds character. Finally, we're introducing a single point of visibility into all network transactions. We felt that no node seeing everything was creating unnecessary privacy. Someone should probably be watching. Happy April Fools.👀 Everything we just described removing is real and it isn't going anywhere.
