#web3gaming #web2game #BCG #鏈分天下 #鏈遊爭霸 @RavenQuestGame #長文慎入 之前老兵說過 2025年將會是 IMX 的 Raven Quest 跟 AVAX 的 Maple Story U 之爭. 究竟它們在web 3 屬性上, 即經濟模型上有什麼特別之處可以成為榜首之爭? 此文章先來探討一下Raven Quest: 1) Free to Play, Play to Earn 項目方在設計此MMORPG初期已經在其經濟模型中花了很多心思, 而在 web 2 時已經有7年的時間對其經濟模型進行過研究, 實踐及改進. 所以, 當轉型到 web 3 的時候所產生的問題及其影響性(沖擊)自然會相對地會比其他項目較少 (當然不可能完全沒有問題) 在 Raven Quest 裡的物品/資產雖然不像 Maple Story / Lumiterra 般一切佳可是NFT/ 上鏈. 但其銀幣可以直接兌換 $Quest 來說, 其實變相地也是所有遊戲內的物品也可以上鏈一樣. 當然, 當遊戲正式上線後, 銀幣 兌換 $Quest 的匯率 (應是浮動制) 及是否有兌換的條件限制, 目前白皮書是沒有說明的. 而這個將會是對於”無課” 或”白嫖” 玩家最為關注的. 在正常邏輯下, 這類型 Free to play 的遊戲, 要做到 Free to earn, 是可以的, 只是能 earn 到什麼程度呢? 應該是很微薄的了. 但對於web 3 MMO 遊戲來說, Free to play / 無課是必要的存在. 因為他們是轉化為課長或長期投入玩家的基礎及入門門檻. 所以, 對於將來玩家數量的增長率來說是一個非常好的設定. 2) Web 2 Web 3 課金並行機制 遊戲本身就是由 Web 2 轉型過來 Web 3 的, 故此, 仍然是會保留課金屬性, 這個便對 Web 2 的玩來說一點也不會陌生, 而項目方在白皮書有表明, 由 Web 2 所賺取的收益, 也會投放到 回購 $Quest 及擴充web 3 ecosystem 的發展上. (這個機制在 BigTime 上已經明顯的得到認證了) Web 2 及 Web3 會各自有不同的商城, 會有不同類可以提升各樣能力及體驗的物品可以購買, 相信玩家不可以單單依靠一個商城來提高遊戲內的實力了. 看來, 適當的課金還是有必要的. 另外也會有如月卡的機制 – Patron 保留以往 web 2 的味道. 3) Web 3 遊戲貢獻獎勵機制 遊戲會有”定期”或”季度”的活動提供 $Quest 空投以作激勵的. 而這些激勵是通過”個人的榮譽”- Renown 及 “名聲” - Fame 組合起來的 “遊戲總名聲” - Total Fame 作為空投的基準. Renown 是一個不會重置的系數, 會透過對遊戲內的投入程度 (如LV, 課金額, NFT數量, 成就, 主線完成度等等) 作為一個組合後的系數. Fame 則是透過活動, 各類型排行榜, 公會戰等等來獲取. 是會在季度/活動後重置的. 而 Total Fame 則是會把 Fame x Renown 之後得出來作空投機制的指標. 這個Renown系數設定算是平衡了新加入的玩家跟老手在每季/特殊活動中的可賺取空投的差異. (即是, 老玩家 / NFT holders不會因為待在遊戲內很久, 但不怎樣玩活動/遊戲卻仍然可以獲得豐厚空投) NFT 在遊戲賦能都是有指向性的, 如LAND 偏生產的, RavenCards 是偏PVP 戰鬥的. Cosmetics 是偏個人感覺良好的. 不會做成大課長便可以有壓倒一切的力量/擁有很多NFT便可以有長期的空投收益等. 所以, 重點仍然會放在玩”遊戲”上. (即是: 肝才是王道) 4) 遊戲的故事深度及職業, 生活系統的寬度 可能很多web 3 玩家都會用 Lumiterra 來跟 Raven Quest 作比較, 為什麼”類似”的遊戲/經濟模型, 但玩家會偏向支持畫面風格較舊的 Raven Quest? 遊戲的故事深度及職業, 生活系統的寬度決定了一切! 之前老兵也說過此是 Lumiterra 一直所欠缺的. 尤其是原本的金字塔模式的玩家 (無課基層玩家向上層提提供材料並獲取利潤). 因為深度及寬度不夠而把原來設計好的經濟階梯扭曲, 甚至崩潰. 玩家很快便會找到回本/賺錢的最優解而全線玩家都跑去做同一件事作套利. 加上沒有系統性的激勵給上層玩家, PVP極度嚴重, 市場中的資產自然因為供求失衡而崩潰. 但在 Raven Quest 中, 因為有著故事的深度, 及不同職業, 生活技能的支持, 可以把玩家分散到階梯中不同的層面去. 加上系統上對能同時修練的職業有限制, 形造了一個需要互相依賴的生態 (即一個玩家不能完全的自給自足, 一定需要玩家與玩家之間作交易才可以達成某種目的或能力/裝備的提升) 遊戲內的經濟自然不會那麼容易崩塌. 公會, 公會戰, PVP地區機制, 也會為遊戲中帶來良性的競爭和力量上的追求. 而不會像 Lumiterra 般, 因為地圖大少的限制, PVP玩法對孤狼/無課玩家十分的不友善, 迫使玩家棄坑. 5) 潛在的問題 其實, 跟以往的其他 gamefi / web 3 game 一樣, 單幣的經濟, 會使唯一套利的幣成為拋售對象. 幣通常會在遊戲最初期因為玩家要升級各種裝備, 能力等等而升一波. 當季度空投完結, 因為套利便會帶來很大的下跌. 一旦買入的數量比套利的少… … 幣便會出現只掉不升的情況. 雖然可以用web 2 的收入進行拉盤. 但遊戲仍然是買 $Quest 來賺 $Quest 的機制來說. 一旦課好課滿的玩家數量累積越來越多, $Quest 的拋壓只會有增無減. 究竟項目方將來可以用什麼方法去打破這個局面呢? 便要看看遊戲之後的如何營運了. 其實, 只要池子夠大, 把玩家買入賣出的時間差拉長. 遊戲內因為營運各樣活動, 季賽, 讓有新資金, 新玩家加入, 有入有出, 其實要長久存活是沒有什麼問題的. 所以便要看看項目方的營運手法了. 不過, 在 web 2 也可以存活7年, 那 Web 3, 其實也沒有什麼好擔心的. 如果想知道多一點有關遊戲的攻略, 可以參考 Huka Bros @HukaBros 的 RavenQuest 新手攻略: link.medium.com/1D7g0RBr3Qb 及官方的白皮書: whitepaper.ravenquest.io 期待 3月14日的全球上市大日子吧. 以上都不是什麼投資心得, 只是老兵無聊吹下水.
