monad tvl crossed 300m usd but
why does aave matters to monad
i feel people don’t understand how huge this could potentially be for monad
now if monad should want to attract evm community, then they’d have to show that they’re well aligned w eth
the meta mask news from last week (free gass) + aave setup incoming w help monad in this case
and having some of eth core products on monad shows how just aligned monad is w the god chain
aside from this,
aave on their own have done trillions of dollars in transactions since their inception so having aave in monad helps boost TVL activity for the chain
+ the aave effect on new chains is real
when plasma launched in September, the aave plasma market attracted 1.3b dollars in its first hour, reaching 6.6b after 48hours
by year end, more than 80 percent of plasma tvl was earning yields on aave
and crazy thing is plasma gave around 10m
USD for campaigns (in their token)
talk more of a chain like monad that’d be giving at least 1.5x of the amount
plasma are newer and not well known
(compared to monad)
monad has a different profile
has more runway to build anticipation, ecosystem growth and also has larger community and is acc deploying aave at a stage where the chain already has some baseline activity
it’s definitely gonna boost the tvl like that or even crazier
to put this in retrospect
recall I made a tweet earlier where I said monad is focusing on growing the TVL first before breaking out to other sectors of the chain like memes,nfts etc based on my observation ----->

also, aave partnership w open doors to more institutions, fintech and banks being ready to ship stuffs on monad and it could potentially boost the ecosystem as new users w look to explore more things after depositing some of their tokens on monad to be able to earn from the campaigns (provided that the team don't stop shippin stuffs that is w I doubt they will)
so yeah, i think aave is a good booster
just that 15m is a lot of money
but if it helps boost traction for the chain, then it's fire by me
and I’ll also want to see the team still help native apps like neverland in their journey to become top in the ecosystem
the play is the ecosystem
maybe this w prove it
