We’ve regained control of our official X account @elfa_ai after an unfortunate compromise. Below is a summary of the incident: A malicious actor impersonated X via a sophisticated phishing email to gain access to @elfa_ai. They changed password and 2FA immediately, blocking us from regaining access, and posted phishing links with the intent to deceive unsuspecting readers. We detected this immediately and flagged it to X. Thanks to the community, multiple people reported the malicious posts which made X take down the posts repeatedly. We apologize for any harm caused. Since 4pm (GMT+8) yesterday, all posts were removed, likely due to repeated community reports. This morning, we finally managed to recover our account after getting in touch with X. During this period, the app and every other key infrastructure were completely safe due to security practices that were enforced. Some of you who tried logging in to the Elfa app from a new device were unable to do so. This was intentional as an additional precautionary safety measure. Thank you for bearing with us. Log in is now re-enabled. Since the event, we immediately doubled down on security practices: 1. Any team members managing the account will be using the Delegate feature to reduce risks of falling prey to social engineering. 2. We are upgrading the official X account to a Verified Organization status. X actively monitors and takes action against fake accounts that mimics verified organization. We will have priority support so that any suspicious activities will be looked into immediately. Elfa will never DM users about wallet connections or urgent “opportunities” All legitimate announcements will be cross-verified on @hypetris_ account. Your trust matters more than anything, and we’re committed to earning it back. Big thank you to every one of you who flagged posts, warned others, and shared ways to help us get in touch with X. The team kept building throughout all of this. A newer, sharper Elfa is coming. Stay tuned 🫡

just because a social media manager doesn’t have their own presence on social, doesn’t mean they’re not a good smm. if you’re fully locked into growing an account, i.e. the business account, you rarely have time to spend growing your own account. it’s difficult to be fully locked into 2 or more accounts.

Funny how an ecosystem is preaching “Internet Capital Markets” and “Network State” while “preferably” hiring US residents only 🇺🇸 Accelerate.

Many of you know already, but for those who don’t — earlier this year, I stepped back from actively contributing to Drosera. The decision to part ways was made collectively and mutually among the founding team. Grateful to have worked with sharp, principled people on something that actually matters. We accomplished a lot in one year - raised two rounds of capital, onboarded over 30 of the top operators in the industry, grew the team from 4 people to 12, established relationships with some of the top protocols and ecosystems in the industry, and launched multiple iterations of testnet. Excited to watch the team keep pushing the boundaries of web3-native risk management. As for what’s next? Taking a breather from full-time crypto to launch a few real-world companies, mostly in wellness and international real estate. I’m not fully out of crypto - I’m still an advisor and angel investor to ~40 crypto projects. Id just say more time is now allocated to diversifying my asset base and revenue streams a bit more than before. In other words, I’ve entered my “Pursuing passions and touching grass” arc. But our industry has a funny way of pulling people back in, so we’ll see… Grand Rising and much love, RTM

Scams like these are getting more and more convincing. So don't be like me. Check every single detail way in advance. I was lucky enough to catch on at the very last minute but I should have been more careful right from the start
