🚨 CRYPTO: COINBASE BRINGS ITS BITCOIN YIELD FUND ONCHAIN THROUGH $3.5 TRILLION FUND GIANT APEX
Coinbase Asset Management is launching a tokenized share class of its Bitcoin Yield Fund on Base, Coinbase's L2 on Ethereum.
The fund targets 4-8% net returns in $BTC through selling call options and lending arrangements. Now tokenized using ERC-3643 with compliance checks baked directly into the token. If your wallet isn't cleared, the transaction fails. No manual checks needed.
Apex Group ($3.5T in assets) stays on as transfer agent. They acquired tokenization firm Tokeny last year and plan to tokenize $100B in funds by June 2027.
Available to non-U.S. investors first. U.S. tokenized version coming next.
BlackRock, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton all already have tokenized funds. @coinbase just joined that list.
