You may have heard about ERC-3643, the standard used by many financial institutions, banks and tradFi actors to represent RWA onchain, but what is it exactly? A thread 🧵

What happens after a regulated asset is tokenized? It still needs approved venues, one ownership record and applications for settlement, servicing and collateral. When those pieces sit in separate systems, the market has to keep checking which record is true.

A tokenized asset issued across multiple chains should not create multiple versions of its ownership record. T-REX Ledger keeps the authoritative record in one place, while connected chains provide access and liquidity. Ownership remains consistent across every network.

A wallet can sign a transaction, but it cannot prove whether the person behind it is eligible to hold a regulated asset. Our CEO, Daniel Coheur, explains how ONCHAINID brings KYC proof onchain, creating a stronger identity layer for compliant tokenization

Utility starts when a tokenized asset can move beyond the place it was issued. Across products, markets and networks, that movement matters when ownership, eligibility and transfer rules stay intact. That is how tokenization becomes useful after issuance.

Implemented in 9 months. Global from day one. Swift's blockchain-based ledger is ready for use, with ANZ, BNP Paribas, BNY, Citi, DBS Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), FirstRand, HSBC, Itaú Unibanco, Lloyds Banking Group, Mashreq, MUFG, OCBC, Standard Chartered, UBS, UOB and Wells Fargo preparing to pilot 24/7 tokenised cross-border payments. This is a significant step towards scaling tokenised finance powered by the standards, security and global reach the industry relies on. By combining distributed ledger technology with Swift’s secure messaging network, the ledger: -Enhances liquidity efficiency -Improves cash flow visibility -Enables seamless token recognition What’s next? This is the first use case. The ledger creates a foundation for future innovation in areas like programmable money and agentic commerce, and we're continuing to explore more use cases with our community - helping to take tokenised money closer to scalable, real-world adoption. ⚖️ Bold take, hedge first: I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. It is a risk read. @openzeppelin just made ERC-3643 a $32B+ headline. That spotlight casts a legal shadow. Its name is tZERO.

A fund token cannot move like an unregulated asset. Regulated assets carry rules. Who can hold it. Who can receive it. Where it can be distributed. Whether a transfer is valid. That is the problem T-REX Protocol (ERC-3643) was built for. As the open standard for permissioned tokenization, ERC-3643 gives regulated assets a common framework for identity, eligibility and transfer controls. That framework matters because institutions need more than a way to issue funds, bonds and equities onchain. They need those assets to move into markets, venues and applications without every platform rebuilding compliance from scratch. ERC-3643 is the compliance foundation, the T-REX Ledger makes sure that compliance stays intact when the asset is distributed cross-chain. That is how tokenized assets move from issuance into actual market utility 🦖

so pleased to collaborate with the amazing teams @trex_network @zama the future of onchain finance is confidential + multi-chain + standards, ERC-3643 and OnchainID joining with ERC-7579 (smart accounts) ERC-7913 (sig verifiers) ERC-7786 (x-chain gateway) ERC-7984 (confidential tokens)

Regulated assets will only move onchain at scale when institutions can trust the code enforcing ownership and transfer rules. That is why T-REX Network is partnering with @OpenZeppelin to co-develop a major upgrade to the infrastructure underpinning ERC-3643 tokenized securities. For these assets, smart contract security goes far beyond protecting balances. The code determines who can hold the asset, how identity is handled, where it can be distributed and whether each transfer is permitted. Those controls need to be reliable from the first architectural decision. OpenZeppelin engineers will work alongside the T-REX team, advising on the core architecture, reviewing new functionality as it is designed and contributing proven components from the OpenZeppelin Contracts library. That library already underpins 9 of the 10 largest stablecoins and has supported more than $35 trillion in onchain transfers. The partnership adds OpenZeppelin’s engineering and security expertise to infrastructure already built around ERC-3643 compliance and privacy enabled through @zama. The result is infrastructure institutions can use to issue and distribute regulated assets with enforceable controls, protected financial data and secure technical foundations. @ApexGlobalGroup has already committed to adopting the T-REX Ledger as its default infrastructure, with a target of $100 billion in tokenized assets by June 2027. Institutional adoption depends on getting the foundations right. OpenZeppelin is now helping us build them. t-rex.network/news/openzeppe…

France couldn't even protect its passport database or police files. Do you REALLY THINK they can secure your messages after they get access to them via chat control? Come on, this will only feed criminals even more. Not only will you get arrested for sending pics of your kids at the beach to your parents, you will also get blackmailed by criminals who will know have your ENTIRE conversation history. And for our international friends, this concerns you too, because if you have any conversation with anyone in Europe, whether for work or personal, your messages will ALSO be sent to law enforcement in Europe for screening. This is the worse possible scenario for privacy and national security. Europe is dead.

It’s all about getting the foundations right. Casper’s implementation of ERC-3643 and connection with the upcoming T-REX network does exactly that, with Casper’s secret sauce on top: single block finality, native permissioning and multisig, upgradability, and quantum safety.
