had to use a different setup for most of today and the thing i wasn't expecting was how annoyed i got not because anything was broken just because i kept having to remind the system what i was doing why i was looking at a wallet which rabbit hole mattered which one didn't felt like repeating myself to someone who wasn't listening weird part is a year ago that would've felt completely normal now it feels strangely manual like i've accidentally trained myself out of carrying so much context around i'll open something in @TheARCTERMINAL and leave it alone for hours come back and continue from the exact mental spot i left it my brain has started expecting that that's probably the part i'm not sure i love caught myself trying to remember a list of addresses i was tracking earlier and realized i never actually memorized them i knew i'd be able to pick the thread back up later so i just... didn't bother feels convenient right up until you notice you're doing it not saying it's bad also not saying it's entirely good just noticing little habits disappearing one by one and i don't think i would've noticed if i hadn't been forced back into the old way for a day anyway hold on i just saw that wallet move again and now i'm pretty sure i've been following the wrong one this whole time

been using @TheARCTERMINAL long enough now that i caught myself getting annoyed at my own brain today opened an old research setup i'd been using before and spent 15 minutes trying to remember why i was watching a wallet in the first place which chain it was on what the original lead even was then realized i'd quietly stopped keeping half that stuff in my head kind of unsettling honestly not because the ai is doing anything crazy more because after a while you start assuming the context will still be there when you come back like your brain changes the way it stores things normal chatbots feel weirdly absent now not dumber just... gone every time you open them it feels like waking someone up from a concussion not even convinced this is healthy long term tbh but i went back for a day and got irritated way faster than i expected anyway i still need to figure out why that wallet started accumulating again because now i can't remember if
