Thank you to the ZK and crypto communities for your support. It was amazing to see the pioneers of ZK scaling, the inventors of STARKs and PLONK (the foundation of our work, including Plonky2), speak out to uphold the open source ethos.

It’s crucial that we, as a crypto community, call out failures to embody the values that make this space great. We have to continue to incentivize the collaborative spirit of open-source development. If we fail to do so, we’ll be no better than the Web2 monopolies.

Crypto runs on the open source ethos. When projects don’t follow it, the ecosystem suffers. We were disappointed to see that @zksync copied our code without attribution and made misleading claims about the original work, so we wrote this post. mirror.xyz/0x70DF15b0208e…

This is well known but the analogue of the FFT for multilinear polynomials is the Walsh-Hadamard transform, and it is surprisingly simple.

Polygon Labs folks are absolute beast in execution. - Launched as a sidechain, hustled their way to the top. - Started the ecosystem LM campaign with Aave. - Built a $$ treasury - Leveraged it to do strategic acquisitions and pivot (90% of which fail) - 18 months, launch a working zkEVM, with best UX - Does a mega pivot to all things zk. - Propose to migrate the most adopted scaling solution (in terms of DApps and integrations) to zk. An engineering feat - moving from a business first to tech first project (all the chad zk hires) All crypto twitter influencers has got to talk about it definitions. Watch and learn. We need better critics before the next cycle, and flush out the old ones.

There are questions about how we are going to accomplish what we have proposed in the blog. As VP of Community & Governance at Polygon Labs, as well as the self-appointed hot dog eating champion of Polygon Labs (no contest yet, but I can eat up to 3), I want to provide clarity.

I believe @0xPolygon did an really interesting thing by acquiring Hermez, Mir (zero), Miden and making them collaborators instead of competitors. This was a huge win for Polygon and I believe for these teams too. Interested to see if others will follow the same approach.
