🗳️🇨🇴 After the rally of the last few days, the market corrected and Abelardo dropped back to the 30¢ range to win the first round. It was simply an excess of premature enthusiasm. Now the cooldown has created an interesting distortion again: Abelardo looks undervalued, while Cepeda looks overvalued. But the market still is not pricing in something key: the Westcol effect. The biggest streamer in the country will have a live stream with Abelardo literally hours before the election. And his audience is made up precisely of young undecided voters who are heavily driven by emotion and political enthusiasm. That stream could easily have more impact than 10 stadium events. Its reach over the youth vote is massive, and the momentum it could generate for Abelardo right before people vote could be brutal. I still feel the market is not fully understanding that factor.

🚨URGENT ALPHA🚨 Yesterday the popular Colombian streamer @WestCOL did an informal Presidential Poll on his stream, showing Abelardo at 50% with over 8,000 votes cast. Based on analysis of this poll as proxy data, I'm even more confident in El Tigre's victory, and have invested another $10,000 into the Colombian Elections. All in💰💰💰 TL;DR Abelardo is winning over the younger voters, previously dominated by Cepeda. Long post 👇 Here’s the logic behind the WestCOL signal: This is not just about one informal streamer poll. It's telling us a story about how the young people might vote. The story is that Abelardo was already gaining ground with younger voters in the Atlas/Semana crosstabs before the WestCOL poll even happened. Among 18–24 voters: Atlas/Semana May 9–14 Cepeda: 51.0% Abelardo: 17.2% Atlas/Semana May 18–21 Cepeda: 42.7% Abelardo: 31.3% That is a massive move. Cepeda’s lead with 18–24 voters collapsed from +33.8 to +11.4 in roughly one week. In other words, the youngest voting group was already moving sharply toward Abelardo before WestCOL’s audience voted 50% for him. The 25–34 group also matters. Cepeda was still leading that age band in Atlas, but the margin was much tighter: May 9–14: Cepeda +8.4 May 18–21: Cepeda +7.0 So when WestCOL runs an informal poll on 5/26 and Abelardo wins 50% to 33% over Cepeda, I don’t view it as random noise. I view it as proxy data from a younger, online-native audience — exactly the type of demographic where the shift toward Abelardo should show up first. Of course, this is not a scientific poll. Streamer audiences are self-selected and probably not representative of Colombia as a whole. But as a directional sentiment signal, it fits the trend: Atlas showed Abelardo rapidly gaining with 18–24 voters. Atlas showed 25–34 voters already becoming highly competitive. WestCOL’s young online audience broke heavily for Abelardo. AtlasIntel daily tracking then moved from Abelardo +3.1 on 5/26 to Abelardo +6.8 on 5/27. My read: the youth vote is no longer safely Cepeda’s. If Abelardo is breaking through with younger voters while already performing strongly with older voters, the map changes completely. That’s why I think the WestCOL poll matters.

This will be the final boost Abelardo will have to win in the first round, or to win the first round with a solid margin of advantage over Cepeda’s heir. A very important part of the audience of Colombia’s most-watched streamer is pro-Petro, and the opportunity Abelardo will have to speak directly to that audience just hours before millions of people head out to vote is absolutely massive.

For the first time in the entire presidential race, Abelardo appears to be leading voting intention and surpassing the heir. Every day, it starts to look more possible and realistic that he could end up finishing first in the first round.
