The $AMELIA Thesis
Around a week ago, I saw a post on X about this “game” one of the counties in the UK made.
It was meant to educate people on the rise of the far right in the UK.
Almost instantly, people realised it wasn’t a game, but just propaganda
One of the characters was called Amelia.
She’s labelled far right. You’re clearly meant to think she’s bad
But her actual stance is just that she doesn’t want illegal immigration.
Nothing extreme. Nothing crazy.
And the entire game just completely backfired.
People didn’t see a dangerous character. They saw a normal person being framed as a problem.
The backlash got so bad they ended up shutting the whole thing down.
Instead of turning people against her, Amelia turned into a mascot for those upset with the UK's situation.
At first I thought it would just fade and be another flash in the pan.
But this shit just keeps getting bigger. I see multiple posts with 300k+ views every hour. It's clearly growing
People are clearly projecting how they feel about the UK onto this character.
Everyone’s watching the UK fall apart. Free speech is going, two-tier enforcement is becoming normal, and the country doesn't put its own people first.
This stuff is all over my X, and Americans are some of the biggest posters.
EVERYONE IS SAD THE UK IS FALLING
Even Elon Musk is constantly tweeting about how bad things are getting.
Amelia’s basically become a symbol of that frustration.
Which is why I think $AMELIA at a $300k market cap is mispriced.
