Educational standard in the UK is incredible. As a software engineering major, we were taught by engineers who actually cared about us building something. They care so much about employability post sch. My professor was in awe of my project idea and we executed it together!!!

The only reason many private universities have patronage is because of that 150 quota. Carry it to 200 and no one is coming their way. Oau, Ui, Unilag, all top federal school are not going to lower their standards of minimum of 200. So it’s the left overs that don’t want to wait a year that start looking for private universities that can take them.

He stole $245 million, fled to Nigeria, and believed he would evade justice. He was mistaken. When Xu Qing fled China on 5 November 2024, he believed Nigeria would shield him from the consequences of a Ponzi scheme that harmed hundreds of investors. He underestimated the efforts of INTERPOL NCB Abuja. Through sustained intelligence and surveillance operations, authorities located him at a factory in Olowotedo, Siun Village, Ogun State. He was arrested on 24 April 2026 and repatriated to China on 28 April 2026. He was charged with large-scale illegal absorption of public deposits through a fraudulent scheme valued at over $245 million. These funds were stolen from individuals through deliberate deception. The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, emphasises that Nigeria will not serve as a refuge for fugitives. No individual, domestic or foreign, will find safe harbor here. He also urges Nigerian businesses to carry out thorough background checks before engaging foreign nationals. Due diligence is crucial. Justice extends beyond borders, and so does the commitment of the Force.

NPF ARRESTS, REPATRIATES $245 MILLION PONZI SCHEME SUSPECT TO CHINA The Nigeria Police Force, through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja, has successfully arrested and repatriated a Chinese fugitive, Xu Qing, to the People’s Republic of China to face charges related to large-scale illegal absorption of public deposits through a Ponzi scheme. The repatriation followed a formal request from Chinese authorities, who declared the suspect wanted in Beijing for his alleged involvement in a financial fraud scheme estimated at over Two Hundred and Forty-Five Million United States Dollars ($245,000,000). Investigations revealed that the suspect fled China to Nigeria on 5th November 2024 in an attempt to evade arrest, following which a warrant was issued against him on 12th November 2025 by the Shinan Sub-Bureau of Qingdao Public Security. Acting on intelligence and sustained surveillance operations, operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja successfully tracked and arrested the fugitive at a factory located in Olowotedo, Siun Village, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State on 24th April 2026 after which the suspect was repatriated to the People’s Republic of China on 28th April 2026 through bilateral police cooperation arrangements to face prosecution for the offences. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening international cooperation in the fight against transnational organised crime. The IGP further advised Nigerian employers and business entities to conduct due diligence, including background checks through the police, before engaging foreign nationals in business or employment relationships. The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in its commitment to combating transnational crime and ensuring that Nigeria does not serve as a safe haven for fugitives. Mr President, since you are addressing global investors in Paris, let the streets ask a few questions too. 1. The Naira was ₦460/$. Today it is ₦1,374/$.The dollar now costs 3x more. Which part of this is stability? 2. Food inflation jumped from 8.89% in January to 14.31% in March. It is going up not down. Is this the prosperity that was supposed to follow the pain? 3. Petrol went from ₦195 to ₦1,320 per litre. Where did the freed funds go? Which hospitals. Which roads. Which schools. 4. The CBN benchmark rate is 26.5%. If the economy is stable why is your own central bank treating it like an emergency? 5. You are selling stability in Paris while Dangote raised petrol prices again today. Which Nigeria are you describing. Theirs or ours.
