Dropped a breakdown on @tntswap_io this morning. They responded to every single point and did it properly. Contracts are public and open-source. LP is locked inside their own DEX. 10% tax goes to a public community fund, not an unknown wallet. Kaspersky flag they're looking into it. I was wrong on a few points. Updating my read: TNS names still asymmetric at near-zero cost. The contract concern is largely resolved. $TNT liquidity is real, just locked in their own DEX. Story is more credible now than it was this morning. Still watching for the Kaspersky issue to get resolved and for more contracts to be open-sourced. I spent 3 hours researching @tntswap_io last night. Here's the full breakdown nobody else bothered to write. 🧵 600+ .tempo names minted in hours after launch according to the team. Gas cost: $0.001. Most of CT still has no idea this exists. What TNS actually is: Name Service on Tempo. Register yourname.tempo presented as a wallet owned NFT, works as your onchain identity across Tempo dApps. Every resale on the native marketplace reportedly burns $TNT automatically. 🟢 Green flags: • Visible since August 2023, before most Tempo projects existed. That’s conviction, not a pivot. • 4 live interfaces exist and are usable: DEX, prediction market, onchain game, and now TNS. Most teams ship one thing per year. • Dev allocation claimed at 5%. Industry standard is 15 to 20%. If true, that’s unusual and positive. 🔴 Red flags, and these are serious: • No public contract addresses. Every metric floating around including mint numbers, burn stats, and supply figures comes from team statements only. Nothing is independently verifiable onchain. • Docs site flagged by Kaspersky at time of writing. Still unresolved. • 10% of every $TNT swap routes to an unknown wallet. No public explanation exists. • $TNT has $0 active liquidity. “No presale dump” isn’t a green flag because there’s simply nowhere to sell. • Closed unaudited contract means unknown approval risks. If you interact, use a burner wallet with only gas inside. Nothing else. My verdict: • TNS names are a near zero cost optionality play if you’re already active on Tempo. Burner wallet only. Downside is capped at gas. • For $TNT, skip until contracts are public and the open questions above get answered. The story is interesting. The transparency isn’t there yet. @ensdomains did $300M+ TVL at peak. @sns on Solana ran the same playbook.
