After 2.5 incredible years, my time at @G7_DAO has come to an end as the organisation shifted its direction. We managed to build and continuously update a complete map of web3 gaming, and we compiled its most important learnings in our “State of Web3 Gaming” reports. Special thanks goes to @ronenkirsh and @0xgeorge for their exceptional mentorship that transformed my professional growth. Entered Game7 as an enthusiastic gamer and exited as a researcher that focuses on gameplay mechanics, game economies and retention loops. Testing and providing feedback for hundreds of games will do that to you. I'm excited to see Game7 continue its efforts to advance web3 gaming, with different takes, even knowing some will fail - because that's exactly how we'll discover what actually works in this space. Web3 gaming’s not dead, but it’s stuck. We either refine our strategy towards web2 players or lean into experimentation (possibly with AI). We keep falling back on the same tired playbook, one that pushes studios to bail on web2 audiences way too early and stifles the experimentation we desperately need in game economy design and retention hooks. Let's build the gaming future we actually dreamt of - where devs and players are truly aligned, monetisation doesn't feel predatory, and communities drive decisions. I have no intention of taking a break, and wherever the journey continues, you can bet I'll be attempting to make this vision reality.

@kostaszrk it will 10x the developer experience for building web3 apps using AI. Imagine accessing assets and data from 100+ networks or adding wallet authentication to your app in a few seconds.

I don't understand why networks are pushing for AI agents tied to specific chains-it's counterintuitive. AI agents need cross-chain freedom without silos: access to maximum data and the ability to execute where liquidity is available at lower cost and latency. If your agent can capture value on a competing chain, wouldn’t you want it to go there?

While both numbers remain below 2021 levels, it's an important indicator of strong market interest despite the turbulent 2023-24 period, with US election uncertainty, gaming industry layoffs, and crypto mindshare largely focused on memecoins and airdrops.
